哈哈哈,不错啦!1个比1个美,你虽然没有拉花,可是在整体上,是最美的1个,因为蛋糕:高而不下陷,很有立体感,糕型完美,如果有装饰,更是一级棒!!
Thank you Auntie Irene, this is the most wonderful cake the I bake without your scolding and laughing,
but yet with all the compliments.
Hi Dorene
Nice cake! Also with Aunitie Irene's guidance, I've also tried to make one yesterday but not very perfect, though it smell & taste really good. I'm quite happy alredi for 1st attempt. My cake didn't rise as much as yours and the bottom layer very moist & not well cooked. I think I roughly know what were the things I might have done incorrectly, will try to do it right next time.
Forgot to check with Aunt Irene, maybe you may know. When we poke the layer before pouring the next layer, do we just poke very light on the surface & not too deeply right? When do u remove the cake from the tin, after it cool down completely right?
Thank you,
Margaret
Hi margaret,
You need to poke it right inside to check whether is it cooked. And once the cake is cook, you need to take it out from the tin immediately and let it cool before peeling off the paper.
Hi Dorene,
Tks for answering my query.
The poking I meant is for prevent the cake from bending, right before we pour another layer, not poking to check if cake is cooked. Do we poke lightly on the surface or deeply?
I didn't lay butter on the tin for the steam cake coz not aware of it. Is it a must to lay paper or optional?
Thank you,
Margaret
margaret,
The poking actually is for both, so if you poke deeply you can check whether is it cooked. You need to brush the tin with butter so that it is easy for you to take the cake off from the tin, as for paper, maybe a bit diffcult cos the cake is heavy.
