This is the "Smiling Char Siew Pau",and it is my 2nd attempt
So is there any improvement after the 1st attempt?

Dorene, got improvement lah. Now at least look more like a pau liao. But still not very good leh, the opening is like not becos of the steaming tat causes the crack but becos u didn't closed the opening properly. Must 继续加油!

they are two different bao leh... correct dorene?
kd, they are two different pau, the smiling char siew pau is with the ammonia and the pan fried pau is without the ammonia and oso don't have to wait for 2day can make after 1 hr proofing.

I like the 花卷 pattern u made. Somehow u managed to twist and shape them very nicely & naturally. I still have to practise a bit more to get there.

Hi Margaret, thks for your comment still need to improve my skill.How is your day at auntie irene's place? believe that it must be a great time there cos too many things to learn from her , yet find that the time is not enough.
