My 2nd attempt making the Kueh Lapis this month. This time the Lapis is much better than the 1st attempt cos it is not so oily. Will use this recipe for future baking. Thanks Auntie Irene for coming up with this great Lapis recipe.
your kueh lapis looks good. I also find that using block butter not only not so oily, also more econonical. Comparatively, the tin butter I find it rather oily even the very day of baking.
this time your lapis appears to have fewer layers, what size of tin did u use?

Hi Dorene,
Your kueh lapis is so pretty, I like it. Indeed it doesn't looks that oily. Did you modified the recipe yourself?
Becky, I didn't but Auntie Irene modified it using block butter instead of tin butter.
