Traditional Wo Ko Kueh


These is the Traditional Wo Ko Kueh that my youngest son and I love to eat .I saw this recipe when shopping at Popular,so decided to copy the recipe and try making it.The whole process take 3 days and 12 hrs before steaming it.I am very happy after tasting it , it reminded me that time really flies, I remember that the last time my youngest had this was about 6 yrs ago.He was so delighted when he saw this Traditional Wo Ko Kueh.

Wow... Traditional Wo Ko Kueh very colourful & it looks nice but I don't understand why the whole process need to take 3 days 12 hrs before steaming it?

Eilee, becos the cool rice need to mix with wine yeast and let it ferment for 72 hrs before mixing it to the rice flour and after mixing need another 12 hrs to let it ferment again before steaming.

Becky, if interested try making this kueh.

your traditional wo ko kueh looks perfect, like those selling outside. it 'huat' until very nice. Really admire your skill, 1st attempt already got it right. I like to eat it steaming hot with 椰丝。
